Today's Hadith & Quran Verse

Kindness to Parents — A Door to Jannah 🤍

Birr ul Walidain | Parents | Quran | Hadith

Assalam o Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters! 🌙

When was the last time you called your mother just to say "I love you"? When was the last time you sat with your father — not to ask for something — but just to listen to him?

In the busyness of life, we often forget the two people who sacrificed the most for us — without ever asking for anything in return. Today's reminder is about them. 🤍

📖 Today's Verse — Surah Al-Isra 17:23-24

وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا

English Translation

"And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him — and that you be good to your parents."

📝 Tafseer — Right After Worship of Allah

Notice the placement of this command. Allah mentions kindness to parents immediately after the command to worship only Him. Not after charity. Not after fasting. Right after Tawheed itself.

This tells us something profound — in Allah's order of priorities, how we treat our parents is one of the highest expressions of our faith. The verses that follow describe even more — not raising your voice at them, not even saying "ugh" in irritation, speaking to them with the gentlest, most honorable words.

Lesson: Your parents carried you when you could not walk. Now that you can — carry their hearts with gentleness. 🤍

☪ Today's Hadith — Jannah is in Her Hands

A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: "Who deserves my best treatment?" He ﷺ said: "Your mother." The man asked: "Then who?" He said: "Your mother." He asked again: "Then who?" He said: "Your mother." He asked once more: "Then who?" He said: "Your father."

💭 Let's Reflect Together

Three times — the Prophet ﷺ said "your mother" before he mentioned the father. Scholars explain this reflects the immense sacrifice of motherhood — the pregnancy, the pain of childbirth, the sleepless nights, the years of nurturing.

The Prophet ﷺ also said that a parent is the middle door of Jannah — meaning, honoring your parents is one of the most direct paths to Paradise available to you. No special skill needed. No wealth required. Just love, patience, and presence. 🤍

🌟 3 Ways to Honor Your Parents Today

1
Call Them Today — Just to Talk

Not to ask for anything. Not because something is wrong. Just call and ask how they are. Let them hear the joy in your voice when you speak to them. 📞

2
Lower Your Voice — Even When Frustrated

The Quran specifically warns against raising your voice at parents. Even if they say something that upsets you — respond with the gentleness they deserve. 🌿

3
Make Dua for Them Every Day

In your sujood, ask Allah to forgive them, bless them, and grant them health and long life. This dua is one of the easiest forms of Sadaqah Jariyah you can offer. 🤲

🤲 Today's Dua — For Your Parents

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

"My Lord — have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small."
— Surah Al-Isra 17:24

Whether your parents are with you today or have passed on — honor them. Pray for them. Speak well of them. They gave you life — the least we can give back is love. 🤍

Call someone you love today. Tell them you appreciate them.

Day of Arafah 2026 — 9th Dhul Hijjah | Fast, Dua & Forgiveness 🌄

🌄 9th Dhul Hijjah — Yawm al-Arafah The Greatest Day of the Entire Year 🤍 Day of Arafah 2026 — Dhul Hijjah 9 Assalam o Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters! 🌙 Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine millions of people — from every country, every language, every background — all standing on one plain. No rich, no poor. No black, no white. No king, no beggar. Just human beings — dressed in simple white — crying, praying, asking Allah for forgiveness. That is Arafah. That is today. The Prophet ﷺ called this the greatest day of the year. Allah Himself boasts to His angels about the people standing on Arafah. And the best part? You do not have to be in Makkah to feel its blessings. Today — wherever you are — the doors of heaven are wide open for you. 🤍 🌄 What is the Day of Arafah? Arafah is a vast plain located about 20km east of Makkah. On the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, the pi...
